REVIEW: Sustainable Tourism in Rural Europe: Approaches to development” provides a great collection of articles examining and critically discussing implementation of Sustainable Tourism in the rural European areas. The book has certainly an international appeal. It could be a recommended read foruniversity programs that include in their curriculum at least one compulsory or/and optional course in sustainable operations and/or triple-bottom-line sustainability. Also, the book is a must title for the libraries of all universities and institutions that offer tourismcourses. All case studies cover a different thematic of rural tourism, thus making this book an invaluable companion for DMO practitioners, academics and students alike. Notwithstanding, I would suggest that references should be updated to reflect important evolutions in the relevant body of knowledge during the last 3 to 5 years. A chapter by chapter review follows, also making suggestions for further research. Overall, it is a great book.
